Top Kitchen & Bath Trends From 2016
The modern American home is constantly evolving, and while some trends go in and out of style, others take their place in the design arena and stick around. The trends that last are often those that allow people to live more comfortably and get more use out of their home.
When it comes to home remodeling, kitchen and bath renovation projects still remain at the top of the list for most homeowners. But what are people demanding from these upgrades?
Here are a few trends we’ve seen in 2016 here at AAA Hellenic Marble, (and we expect many of them to stick around!):
- Light and Shadows – Deep, dark finishes for cabinets paired with lighter shades of tile and countertops were all the rage this year. This dramatic look of light and dark offers an eye-catching, elegant contrast. For lighter shades of countertops, you could try Blanco Romano granite or White Carrerra marble. We also carry many varieties of tile and other materials for the perfect backsplash to match.
- New Colors for Quartz – Quartz countertops continue to become more and more popular in homes, and for good reason. Quartz is a durable stone that is impervious to scratches and chips, and now there are even more choices available for your next project.
- Kitchens with Style – Kitchens used to be all function, no form, but recently families have been moving toward creating stylish kitchens that marry the look and feel of the rest of the home.
- Cool and Calm Bathrooms – Your bathroom should feel like your own personal spa, and there are so many design options available to help you find calm in these rooms. Cool tones for countertops, fixtures, flooring, and bath/shower surrounds were a big trend for bathrooms this year, and we expect to see these trends continue.
